Dubrovnik



The pearl of Adriatic is situated at a 3 and half hours drive from Trogir, which makes a day trip possible by leaving the villa around 8 or 9 AM. With an epic history, breezy Mediterranean culture, and one of Eastern Europe’s best old towns, Dubrovnik is like Venice without the canals. The highlight of any day in Dubrovnik is strolling the scenic mile around the Old Town’s city walls. As you meander along this lofty perch — with a sea of orange roofs on one side, and the actual sea on the other — you’ll get your bearings and snap pictures like mad of the ever-changing views.

Plitvice waterfalls



a 3 hours drive among the hills in the inland, the Plitvice lakes national park is really a must see, it’s the most popular tourist attraction in Croatia. It was granted Unesco world heritage in 1979. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. The National Park covers a total area of 300 square kilometres, whilst the lakes join together over a distance of eight kilometres.

Kornati islands



Situated in front of Zadar, you’ll need approximately 2 hours to reach this splendid maritime zone, declared national park in 1980. very popular for sailors and yachts for its exceptionnal lanscape beauty, including geomorphology, diversity and rich marine ecosystem.

Krka national park



a 45 minutes drive from Villa Amarina. The empire of Krka River, the magnificent karstic beauty traveling two thirds of its way to the sea through canyons, is a complete opposite of Kornati. On its green path, it has seven falls, the last one being Skradinski buk with an average flow of 55 cubic meters of water per second. National Park Krka is rich in flora and fauna. 222 bird species live there, making it one of the most valuable ornithological areas in Europe. You can visit it by boat, car or on foot. Make sure you visit the ethno museum on one of the old mills. National Park Krka also has the only hawk training center in Croatia where you can se presentations of hunting with hawks and hawk trainers’ skills
